Born in Riedlingsdorf, Austria, on January 10th 1962
1981 - 1989:       Studies in Biology (Biochemistry) at Karl-Franzens-University Graz
Thesis in Sensory Physiology (Polarisation Vision in wasps, role of ocelli)
1990 - 1992: Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Institute of Zoology (Dept. of Neurobiology), Vienna University (Wind Detection in hunting spiders, physiology of trichobothria)
1989 - 1993: Guest student at Salzburg College in Salzburg: courses in Fine Art Photography
International Summer Academy Salzburg: Class in Paper Making & Sculpture
1993 - 1995: Masters in Fine Art course at Glasgow School of Art
1995 - 1997: Peace Studies at the European Peace University (EPU) in Stadtschlaining (Austria), Benicássim (Spain) and Dromahair (Ireland)
1995 - 1998: Informal apprenticeship in furniture making in Riedlingsdorf
